During these times of uncertainty we are being flexible with bookings. If you are unable to travel due to restrictions or a lockdown where you live or if we are not open due to restrictions or a lockdown, we will offer you the opportunity to change your holiday dates. If this is not possible we will give a full refund. If you can not travel due to illness including COVID-19 or you are required to self isolate, this needs to be covered by your own holiday insurance.

During the COVID-19 pandemic we are working very hard to keep our guests or staff safe as possible. We have fully risk assessed the site and have been awarded the We're Good To Go logo by Visit England. We are members of PASC and are following their approved cleaning guidelines. On arrival in the cottage you will find the completed cleaning check list which you can view here.

Our cottages will look a little bit different (if you have stayed with us before) as some items have been removed to help with enhanced cleaning. Your cottage will have been deep cleaned and surfaces and touch points will have been disinfected with a hospital grade disinfectant.

Other changes we have introduced;

  • There is hand sanitiser on the gate post for each cottage, please use each time you enter and maintain good hand hygiene during your stay.

  • Your welcome hamper is in a washable container and the produce is all sealed and shop bought.

  • The tourist information leaflets are single use.

  • The information folders all have wipeable sleeves and have been disinfected.

  • There are less items in the kitchen to assist with using the dishwasher and keeping items clean.

  • You will find disposable gloves and cloths and cleaning products under the utility sink for your use during your stay. The mop cloth is clean and washable, if used please leave in sink for washing on departure, please don’t throw away!

If you feel ill

If you become unwell during your stay or start to display symptoms of Covid-19 you must self-isolate along with those staying with you, inform Jane and Graham, contact 111 and arrange a test. You must travel back home as soon as possible as self-isolation in the cottages is not permitted. We strongly advise you travel while you are still well enough to do so. Anyone staying past their rental period will have to meet full costs of rent, enhanced cleaning and any other additional expenses.

Shared facilities

We ask that you practice social distancing around the grounds and pathways. There is plenty of space so this shouldn’t be too difficult!

The good news is that children’s outdoor play equipment can be used. You will find hand sanitiser on the post as you enter the paddock we ask you use before playing. Children are to be supervised and social distancing maintained.

On departure - we need a little help!

So, we can provide yourselves and others with an enjoyable holiday we are asking all guests to help us and our cleaners by carrying out a few simple tasks.

  • Any used or read books, DVDs, Wii games, toys or board games and puzzles are left on the dining table, ready to be removed from the cottage.

  • We ask that you put the washing up sponge, cloth in the bin.

  • The oven gloves and tea towels are placed in the bucket you will find in the utility area and left for collection.

  • Any PPE used during your stay is disposed of with the rubbish.

  • All bins in the cottage are emptied and rubbish put in the black sack tying the top. Please take sacks to the bin bag storage chests adjacent to the guest car park.

  • We ask that all mixed recycling bags are tied and taken to the bin bag storage chests adjacent to the guest car park.

  • The BBQ should be cleaned, and the grills washed

  • The tourist information leaflets are either taken away with you or put in the recycling

  • The beds are stripped, and the linen (sheet, pillowcases and duvet cover) are put into the laundry hamper you will find in the utility room (this goes to a laundry company)

  • Towels and bathmats are placed in the washing machine ready to be washed. A second load can be left on the floor in front of the washing machine.

  • Finally, and most importantly, please open all windows and doors to air each room in the cottage and return the front door key to the key safe.

We thank all our guests for their cooperation and help during this time and we hope that the measures we are taking are reassuring.
