EV Charging

We are pleased to offer guests staying at East Trenean Farm access to our electric vehicle chargers during their stay. Access can be added to a booking as an optional extra and is charged per night.

Travel around Cornwall on a single charge. Lands End 74 miles (1 hr 41 mins), Truro 41 miles (55mins), Newquay 37 miles (51 mins), Eden Project 22 miles (35 mins), The Minack Theatre 75 miles (1hr 45mins) and Padstow 39 miles (58 mins).

There are a pair of 2-way pedestal units, which allow 4 vehicles to be on charge simultaneously, one per cottage in our guest car park area. They are all key access controlled. 

 

Our EV chargers are all Mode 3 (IEC 61851-1) 7.2kW (32A) ‘fast charging units’ and should take 3-4 hours to charge your vehicle or deliver approximately 75mile range per 30mins of charging.
 

They are Type 2 (IEC 62196) charging sockets, which allow you to plug in your own vehicle charging cable. Type 2 became the standard European charging cable connector type for all new plug-in cars from 2014.
