Family Holidays
We welcome families to East Trenean Farm and aim to provide an enjoyable and comfortable stay.

There is plenty to do whether you stay on the farm or adventure a bit further. On the paddock field we have play equipment for our families to enjoy including a range of swings with a baby seat, a ‘ship’ climbing frame with a play cabin below and a wave slide, football goals and plenty of grass to run around on or even play cricket and have a picnic!
Owners Jane and Graham live on site in the farmhouse and are on hand to answer any questions you may have during your stay.
Our hens are free range, enjoying the gardens and fields we have and provide eggs for our welcome baskets. Our young visitors (and grown-ups) are welcome to help ‘call in’ and feed the hens with corn each evening. Our fields are frequently grazed by sheep who are occasionally accompanied by alpaca. Families are welcome to explore the fields and to enjoy spotting wildlife. We frequently see wild rabbits, bats, hedgehogs, woodpeckers, buzzards, owls and other bird species. If you are lucky you may even see a deer!
Close by we have many attractions such as the Eden Project who run family events, the National Aquarium which is always a big hit with small children and Adrenaline Quarry for older children and teenagers who wish to be daring! There are many beaches and coves in SE Cornwall with Looe and Millendreath only 3 miles away and both sandy. Looe beach has kayaks and paddle boards for hire in the summer. Being parents ourselves we know how much you need to take with you when going on holiday, so we aim to provide equipment to lighten the load!
Our 3 larger cottages, Corn Barn (sleeps 8), Threshing Barn (sleeps 6) and Water Mill (sleeps 4) are all family friendly. Each has a selection of plastic plates, bowls, cups and sipper cups, toddler cutlery and baby weaning spoons. There is a good selection of children's books, puzzles, games and toys such as Lego.

Each of the 3 cottage is equipped with:

a travel cot with mattress* (2 in the Corn Barn and Threshing Barn)

a highchair (2 in the Corn Barn and Threshing Barn)

a step up (to reach basin/toilet)

a baby bath (to be used in a normal bath or shower tray)

a plug-in night light

a baby bouncer/chair

a hand held stick blender (good for preparing baby food)

*For cots we ask that guests bring their own bedding and sheets.
